An accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer with over 10 years of experience teaching and performing. A graduate of Bharathidasan University with a DFA (Diploma in fine arts -Bharatanatyam), MFA (Masters in fine arts- Bharatanatyam), and a Bachelors in Engineering in Computer science from Anna University Chennai. Winner of the “Kalai Vazhar mani” award from the Tamil Nadu Government and awarded the “Nadana Mayil” award by the All India cultural foundation. Currently running a private dance school by name “Sai Saara’s Natyalaya” in Accra Ghana (online) and in Gachibowli Hyderabad. 1) “ KALAI VAZHAR MANI” Award by Government of Tamil Nadu (ART & CULTURE DEPARTMENT) for the year 2014 to 2015. 2) “NADANA MAYIL” by All India cultural foundation for the year 2014/15. “GRAMIYA KALAI CHUDAR” award by Kalai Panpattu Thurai and Grahmiya Kalaighnar Sangam, Tamil Nadu (2015). 3) “NATTIYA KALAI ARASI”,” BHARATHA MANI” AWARD for the year 2015/16. 4) “KAKKAN-KARAYALAR-KAMARAJAR” award for the year 2015/16. 5) “Rashtrapati and Raja Puraskar Award” in Bharath Scouts and Guides. ACHIEVEMENTS: 1) Participant “GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS” on 14/04/2017,“Asian Book of Records” & “Jetlee book of Records”, “Artist world Record”, “India book of Record” on 28-12-2015. 2) Participated as a classical dancer in “Noorandu Pesum Orandu Sadanai” for the Tamil Nadu Gov. 3)Guest Artist in CBOA Conferences at Bangalore & Chennai. 4) Ran a dance school named “SAARA’S NATYALAYA” in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, and got the best dance school award “KALAI SURABI “ for the year 2016-2017 by all India cultural foundation. 6 of my students were awarded the “IZHAM VAZHAR MANI” Award, 9 of my students were awarded the 3ks (Kakkan-Karayalar-Kamarajar) award and 17 Students were world record event participants. 5) Completed my research thesis on ‘Natya Abarana Vadivamaipum athan payanpadugazhum’ in bharatanatyam (making and uses of Bharatanatyam temple jewellery). Volunteer under secretary in the folk artist club of Kanyakumari district. 6) Currently running a dance school by the name “SAI SAARA’S NATYALAYA” in Accra. I was interviewed about Bharatanatyam for 45 – mins on all India radio. I have been invited as a Judge and Chief guest to numerous Cultural e nadu Studied Carnatic music for 8 years and won many district level awards.
