As part of the grand New Year 2026 celebrations, Andiappan Yoga Center, East Tambaram and Porur, organized an outstanding and inspiring yoga performance that highlighted the timeless value of yoga for global health and wellness. The event brought together a large group of dedicated students who demonstrated exceptional discipline, strength, and focus through advanced yogic practices.
During the program, participants performed yoga asanas of their own choice, showcasing both classical and advanced postures such as Ekapadasirsasana, Kapotasana, Garbhasana, Setubandhasana, and Pincha Mayurasana. Each student held their selected asana continuously for up to 120 seconds, reflecting remarkable physical endurance and mental concentration. The performance aimed to create widespread awareness about the importance of yoga in promoting holistic well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
This extraordinary collective effort achieved international recognition and was officially declared a Nova World Record. The accomplishment has been registered in the Nova Book of Records with the following details:
